Atypigene Biomedical Research Institute

Mission

We listen to advocates, loved ones of cancer victims and cancer survivors. They repeatedly ask for non toxic therapies and diagnostics that reliably detect earlier forms of cancer or precancer. Therefore, our mission is to develop diagnostics and therapies that meet these criteria. The logic behind our mission is that certain genes are solely expressed during gestation for pregnancy and development of the baby. These genes are not expressed by normal cells after birth of a human being. These are the gene products we will pursue for new cancer or precancer therapies because more effective doses can be used due to no effect on normal cells.

Furthermore, our mission includes developing cancer therapies that will be cost efficient. In other words, our focus is on therapies that will target cancer or the transition to cancer for multiple different organ types (lung, skin, uterine, ovarian, breast, prostate, colon, kidney, liver, pancreatic, stomach, esophageal). These therapies will include those that target tumor cell invasion as well as growth because it is well known that invading tumor cells are resistant to anti-growth therapies.

Completion of these goals relies upon charitable contributions and grants to fund research at Atypigene Biomedical Research Institute, a non-profit association.
